Owl Class 2019

Welcome to Owl Class

Here is some useful information for Parents and Carers

PE: Monday and Friday this half term, but please ensure P.E kit is in school every day of the week and every item is named.

Reading: Book bags containing reading books will be sent home each day, and changed once a week. Please support your child as much as possible with their reading at home. We will also be reading at school so remember to send their books and reading records back in each day!

Spellings and homework: You will have noticed that each of the children has a homework book. Each week, I will send home spellings linked to the children's phonics learning in school as well as another piece of homework. This second piece will be based on the needs of the class-either English, Maths or topic based.

Please feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns.

Mrs Turner

Learning about Chichester has been such an inspiring topic for the children and adults this half term. Finding out more about our local area has had real relevance to the children and its been lovely to hear how they have been sharing their learning at home with you. It has also meant we have been out and about in Chichester a lot this half term, giving the children real experiences which we hope they will remember when they are out and about in Chichester with you.

Big thank you to those grown ups who have helped us on our trips-we just couldn't offer these experiences to the children without you!

Here is some pictures from our workshops at the Cathedral. The volunteers there who showed us around and share their knowledge through such child centred activities were amazing.
We love Dr Suess! These books never fail to make us laugh!

Here are some of us reading part of the poem 'Fox in socks'
