NSPCC and Safeguarding
The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) is a national charity devoted to the safeguarding of children. Periodically they come into schools and deliver assemblies or workshops to the children about staying safe from abuse. Whilst we hope that non of our children ever experience any kind of abuse, the reality is that they might do at some point in their lives and that this may escalate if they are not aware of the dangers. It is part of our responsibility together with parents and carers to protect them and ensuring they have ways to keep themselves safe is part of this. This is conducted in an entirely age appropriate and sensitive way.
If you have any concerns or comments about this please see your child's teacher or Mrs Gordon, the Headteacher.
