I would like to introduce myself, David Brixey Chair of the school Governing Body. I became involved with the Governors because two of my grandsons attended Lancastrian school. I am a retired Head teacher with a background in secondary education and I have enjoyed getting to know about Early Years and Key Stage 1.
The Governing Body ‘s job is to:
Make sure that the school has a clear strategic plan and a good ethos.
Hold the Headteacher accountable for the educational performance of the school, its pupils, and the its management of staff.
Oversee the financial performance to ensure its money is well spent.
We are lucky to have an active Governing Body who are all very committed to helping the school get better and better! We are excited that the school is moving forward and is a great place for children to learn!
