Welcome to Squirrel Class!
Please remember to label everything your child brings to school with their name. They will need their book bag and water bottle  (for the classroom) EVERY day.
P.E will be every Tuesday. Please could you help us by sending your child in wearing ‘easy’ clothing, e.g. socks not tights, polo shirts not shirts (unless your child is able to change independently).

Let's Celebrate World Book Day
Thursday 1st March

This term we will be focussing on the topic ‘Growing and Keeping Healthy’ and one of the books we will use to support this learning is ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ written by Eric Carle, first published in 1969!  It features a caterpillar who eats its way through a wide variety of foodstuffs before pupating and emerging as a butterfly.

For World Book Day we would love the children to come dressed as a character or piece of food from this book. We hope to see caterpillars, butterflies and other bugs such as spiders, ladybirds etc.as well as children dressed as items of food such as lollipops or apples. Check the book out and let your imaginations run wild!

Since Christmas much of our work has been based around
traditional tales and in particular Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.
The Reception children really enjoyed joining the other classes in  performing 'The Little Drummer Boy.' We were very proud of them; they really were Stars!
Our P.E. Sessions
Outdoor Learning Day
We explored our local environment and looked for signs of Autumn. We then tried leaf printing and 'land art' using natural objects, in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.
Our Outdoor Learning Day included a Bear Hunt!
