Owls

Welcome to Owl Class

Useful Information for Parents and Carers

PE: Monday and Tuesday this term. Please ensure P.E kit is in school and named.

Reading: Book bags containing reading books will be sent home each day, and changed once a week. Please support your child as much as possible with their reading at home. We will also be reading at school so remember to send their books and yellow reading records back in each day.

Spellings: Each Monday, we will send home some spellings to read and write at home-we will then be making sure we use these in our reading and writing back in school!

Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions or concerns.

Mrs Turner & Mrs Sheward

Spring 2018
Our first week back after Christmas, we shared our holiday news. On Friday, we found an exciting treasure chest full of nautical things to help us start thinking about our new topic. We worked in random groups to decide what we would take on our own sea adventure, and wrote questions inspired from these artefacts.
Happy new year everyone!
We had a great time at our class party before Christmas. We dressed each other (and Mrs Sheward!) as snowmen, played musical statues and musical bumps, before having some party food.

We learnt about the book Drummer boy, for our Christmas celebration. We made drums to help us act out the story in drama. Here they are!
 Diwali
Thank you to everyone who came to our assembly and saw our Diva pots. Here are the finished pots!

Maths take home challenge...

In maths, we are learning about adding with numbers to 10. One way of doing this is by keeping one number in our heads, and counting on by another number. Can you play snakes and ladders at home to practise counting on?
Please go to the website below for a version you can print out at home.
