Welcome to Owl Class

Useful Information for Parents and Carers

PE: Monday and Tuesday this term. Please ensure P.E kit is in school and named.

Reading: Book bags containing reading books will be sent home each day, and changed once a week. Please support your child as much as possible with their reading at home. We will also be reading at school so remember to send their books and yellow reading records back in each day.

Spellings: Each Monday, we will send home some spellings to read and write at home-we will then be making sure we use these in our reading and writing back in school!

Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions or concerns.

Spring 2018
Our first week back after Christmas, we shared our holiday news. On Friday, we found an exciting treasure chest full of nautical things to help us start thinking about our new topic. We worked in random groups to decide what we would take on our own sea adventure, and wrote questions inspired from these artefacts.
We enjoyed our drama workshop-all about space! Look out for a voucher for a free trial session in the children's book bags!!
World book day-Thursday 1st March 2018
Thank you for the children's amazing costumes and to everyone who, despite the weather, attended our book carnival at the end of the day.
Lets set sail!
The little boat from our focus text sent us a message in a bottle...he needed our help! He was wet and soggy because he was made of paper, so we had to redesign him made of new materials. We planned and carried out an investigation into materials, then made boats based on our finding. Our finished boats are below.
Our trip to the RNLI. Thank you to everyone who came with us to help-we couldn't run trips without you!
