Governors

A message from the Chair of Governors

I am the Chair of the school Governing Body. I became involved with the Governors because two of my grandsons have been through the school. I have a background in secondary education and I have enjoyed getting to know about Early Years and Key Stage 1.

The Governing Body ‘s job is to:

  • Make sure that the school has a clear strategic plan and a good ethos

  • Hold the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff

  • Oversee the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent

We are lucky to have an active Governing Body. They are all very committed to helping the school get better and better!  We are excited that the school is moving forward and is a great place for children to learn!

If you are interested in getting involved with the work of the Governors, please contact our Clerk Carol Sceens cskeens@lancastrian.org.uk or talk to the school office.
